Such an iffy proposition, maybe is by its very nature vague. Perhaps its history of inconclusivity has led to a reputation of insincerety.
Its character lacks backbone and fortitude. With maybe around, nothing is definite. Things remain uncertain when it is inserted into conversation.
Maybe I will. Maybe I won’t.
Things could go either way. Nothing is for sure because “maybe” is so wishy washy in its attitude.Such a teasing word. “Maybe” never takes a stand. It remains hazy.
